The DEVO program is a XC program for middle school aged children (10-14 years old). This program can accommodate all skill levels of skiers and has the option to train from June - March, just the fall/winter, or even just the winter from December - March. This program is meant to take those that participated in Kickers and Gliders and help them progress and continue to develop their love for skiing and enjoying the outdoors. The program can also accommodate brand new skiers with no experience.
In the summer and fall months the DEVO team spends time doing agility, technique training on foot, hiking/running, mountain biking, and roller ski. In the winter the team continues to spend the first part of each practice doing agility and technique on foot before strapping their skis on and getting outdoors and learning to ski better while having a ton of fun. This program is coached by Olympic Biathlete Lucy Glanville and is supported by our amazing assistant coaches Anne Ellefson and Mix Broadhead. Anne has 20 years of coaching experience having led a high school ski program in Minnesota. Mix was a Team SOHO athlete himself and is now going to school for film and VR and still spends time coaching with us. All of DEVO coaches are at least USSS L100 certified and are Safesport trained. Our coaching staff is supported by some amazing parent volunteers who help keep practice on track and help our coaches manage our large team numbers. You can register for our winter DEVO program that runs from December 4 - March 20, you can join during the session at a prorated rate until the middle of January, after that our roster is finalized. |
