While the Devo and Youth League skiers were tearing it up at SoHo this weekend the Comp Team was in West Yellowstone for the first of three weekends of Junior National qualification races. Unfortunately, we have had quite a bit of sickness leading up to the races but everyone still came and skied their hearts out!
Saturday’s race was an individual start 5km skate race. Fischer notched the top spot for Team Soldier Hollow with a 7th place in the U18 boys. Other top 20 finishes included Felix 16th and Spencer 19th in the U16 boys, Addison and Morgan finished 16th and 19th in the U16 girls. In the U18 girls Ingrid also finished 16th. Full results from the skate race HERE. Sunday the races switched to the classic technique. The U16 age skiers completed a 5km course and the U18 skiers did two laps for 10km. The U16 boys started the day with Xander finishing 14th despite taking a wrong turn. In the U16 girls, Morgan improved to finish 16th. Ingrid battled through a tough day to finish 17th in the U18 girls. Fischer again led Team Soldier Hollow with a consistent 7th place in the U18 boys. You can find full results from the classic race HERE. The next JN qualifier races are Jan 30 and 31 at Soldier Hollow. Stay tuned! Comments are closed.
