The second of five Wasatch Citizen Series races took place at White Pine Nordic Center on Saturday. This weekend’s race was freestyle technique, meaning most skiers chose to skate ski but all skiers are allowed to classic if they prefer.
It was another good weekend for Team Soldier Hollow with 8 podium finishes. U18 skiers Fischer Heimburger and Ingrid Norton both finished 2nd in the men’s and women’s 10km races. Xander Burkemo also finished 2nd in the U16 boys 5km race. The Chamberlain brothers both squeaked onto the podium in their categories with Logan Chamberlain finishing 3rd in the U14 boys 3km race and Reed Chamberlain finishing 3rd in the U12 boys 2km race. Maddux Leonard notched Team Soldier Hollow’s first win of the day with teammate Easton Boyer close behind in second in the U10 boys 1km race. Maddux’s sister, Montana Leonard, also stood stop of the podium with a win in the U8 girl’s 1km race. The Wasatch Citizen Series races continue on January 17th with a classic technique race at Mountain Dell. Comments are closed.
